Disability Advisory Committee

Council is committed to promoting a community which all people have access and where all people feel welcome, so in 2002 Council established the Disability Advisory Committee as a means to better inform its decision making for those in the community with a disability.

The Disability Advisory Committee comprises of Maribyrnong City Council's Mayor as Chair and nine community members representing people with a disability, carers of people with a disability and representatives from disability service providers/organisations.

Membership tenure is two years.  Members can be appointed for a maximum of two consecutive terms before the position is considered to be vacant.  All vacancies are advertised and Council invites applications at the appropriate time via this page.  Vacancies are also advertised in local media print and via Council's social media platforms.
