We are completing our move out of Footscray Town Hall to facilitate the multi-million dollar Civic Precinct and Community Hub redevelopment, which will see Customer Service relocating to the Footscray Library for the next two years.

Friday 30 September will be the last day Council’s Customer Service team will be available at Town Hall.

Residents and community members wanting to visit Customer Service in-person for Council enquiries can do so at Footscray Library from Monday 3 October. Staff will be available from 10am-5pm, Monday to Friday.

As always, Customer Service can also be reached via phone on 9688 0200, via email@maribyrnong.vic.gov.au or through Mari-bot, Council’s live chat function on our website, maribyrnong.vic.gov.au

All other Council staff based at the Town Hall have been relocated to temporary accommodation on the ground floor of the Central West Shopping Centre at 67 Ashley Street, Braybrook.

Our Planning, Building Services and Environmental Health teams are available to meet in-person by appointment.

During the redevelopment, the Council Chamber is also being relocated, with official meetings – including the monthly Council Meeting, City Development Delegated Committee, Audit and Risk Committee, briefings and special meetings – to take place at the Main Hall at the Braybrook Community Hub from October 2022.

Once the redevelopment works are complete, sometime towards the end of 2024, staff will move into the new civic administration offices and the Council Chamber will be returned to the refurbished Footscray Town Hall.
