Textile (Clothing) and E-Waste Recycling Hubs

Clothing and electrical hubs image

Clothing hubs accept all textiles - including torn or damaged items - not just re-usable clothing. Materials collected are either re-used, recycled, or are converted into alternate fuel sources.

Acceptable items include clothing, handbags, shoes, belts, hats, scarves, and accessories.

E-waste hubs accept small electrical items with a cord, such as kitchen appliances, personal care devices, and mobile phones. Due to the Victorian ban on e-waste going to landfill (since 1 July 2019), these items must not be placed in household bins.

Items must be under 50 cm high and 60 cm wide, and batteries must be removed before disposal. Large items like televisions are not accepted but can be booked for hard waste collection or taken to a transfer station. Free e-waste recycling is also available at Moonee Valley Transfer Station.
